Day 19 of 184: 19th of July 2017, holidays are hard

Dear readers, I am not good in this "at least once a week" thing... So, holidays, the time of the year you think you'll have a lot of free time, yet suddenly you have less time than normal. I have vacation planned for the next 3 weeks, and for now I have a lot to do and more I want to  do. I am getting used to the way my hair looks now, and it actually feels nice now. The mustache, on the other hand, semes like I should shave, but that's normal in the growing process. Well, not much more I can think of to write, so I'll just post the pictures. And I just noticed I forgot to take a picture 11th of July :( Also, I have no clue why the pictures won't line up, but it is bugging me slightly. I'll write again soon, Dimitri July 12th July 13th July 14th July 15th July 16th July 17th July 18th July 19th

Dear readers, I promised a blog post at lesat once a week and it's been 9 days. I am very sorry. I thought to write it Thursday, but ran out of time, and I had a very busy weekend. But, here I am again, with a new blog post and some great news! The donations have passed €75 already! I have had some friends donating, and some teachers, as I spoke about it at my certificate ceremony. And, with more pictures, you can find them all at the bottom. 10th July, with a Ring-Tailed Lemur But this one is very special, it's taken today by one of my fellow volunteers at the zoo. He is also the photographer on the zoo, and he just happened to be there when I finished my shift. I wanted to get a selfie with a lemur for my blog, so he helped me. Go check him out here Some things I have learned or noticed in the last week: - Besides not liking to take selfies before, I am not good at it. - I sun-burned my scalp yesterday, as I went swimming with my bro and a friend. ...

Day 1 of 184: 1st of July 2017

Dear readers, This morning I have shaved off my hair, as I said I would. It's been 12 hours now, and I haven't gotten used to the feeling (cold, stubby) and the looks of it. When I saw my reflection, I had to look twice. Besides, bald doesn't suit me, which I already knew... And as promised, picture evidence: Below you can see me before shaving, after shaving my hair, and after shaving my beard as well. The piucture of the hair is all the hair I shaved off, it was quite a lot, but the beard not so much :( I had a busy saturday, and everybody I knew who spoke me asked why my hair looked "like that" So, of course, I shared the story. People seem to understand and appreciate such an effort.' So much even, that a friend of mine send me a message today, saying he will donate €50! WOW! Even before I could write this blog post this evening, I have a donation. He also notified me of one problem with the fundraiser: You need a credit card. So,...

My plan for charity

Dear readers, First of all: Welcome to my blog. Tomorrow is the big day, the 1st of July. I will shave of all my head hair and all my facial hair, and then let it grow for 6 months. At first it felt like a long time, but it will only be until 1st of January 2018. I will take a picture everyday to show my hair growth, and of course before and after shaving. Tomorrow I will post the first update, and I will try to write something here at least once a week. By shaving my hair I aim to gather money for the World Cancer Research Foundation International (the  WCRF ). All proceeds from this campaign, as well as ad revenue from this blog and any shortened links I used, will go to the WCRF. If you want to sponsor me, you can donate on this  fundraiser  ( ad link to fundraiser ) Quick summary Shave all my head and facial hair off on 1 July 2017, let it grow until 1 January 2018 Then, I will check if my hair is long enough for donation. It has to be 15cm. I will...
